The concerts that occur each year at the Salzburg Festival are undoubtedly some of the finest performances in the world. Established in 1920, the Festival is held each summer in the Austrian town of Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In addition to the various concerts, operas and plays are presented as well. This unique and extensive release features six concerts from the Festival that were recorded between 2007 and 2013. The featured orchestras include The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, The East-West Divan Orchestra and the National Children's Orchestra of Venezuela with conductors Pierre boulez, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Daniel Barenboim and Sir Simon Rattle.
